RATES & INSURANCE

HOW DO I PAY FOR THERAPY?

When you schedule your first appointment, you will receive a set of new client intake forms to fill out electronically before our first session.

This will include a credit/debit card form that you can use to specify your form of payment.

If you prefer to pay by check or cash, please have that prepared at the time of our session.

HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?

The cost per session varies by the type of service offered:

53-min individual session: $200 (virtual or in-person) which is collected at the time of each session.

For best results, I recommend that all clients commit to weekly sessions at the start of our work together. Once we have established rapport and treatment goals, if appropriate to your situation and progress, it may be possible to adjust over time to meeting every other week or once a month.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

I don’t accept insurance, however, if a client is wanting to use out of network insurance benefits, you can request a document, known as a “SuperBill”  that has  all of the necessary information for the client to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.

It is strongly advised to contact insurance carriers prior to treatment for questions about the extent of reimbursement for an “Out of Network Provider.” I cannot guarantee reimbursement for your fees.

I also work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, they do all the work for you in submitting a Superbill and helping you get reimbursed.

They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year.

You can sign up using this link: https://app.mentaya.com/register?p=4YWZ9Xyh8hvxYrm9X6DT

Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation. This is a game-changing service that benefits clients and therapists alike and I’m so thrilled to be able to offer it!

I’M INTERESTED IN THERAPY, BUT I’M STILL NERVOUS ABOUT THE MONEY.

I know that taking the first step to start therapy is a big deal. It’s a major financial investment, and a tangible way of really committing to take care of yourself.

This is a chance to take control over your life and story, and move away from your anxiety, trauma, and negative beliefs, and make lasting change in your life.

Even though the dollar amount may seem like “a lot,” ask yourself, what is staying where you’re at actually costing you in the long run?

Now is the time to take a hold of your life, give yourself the permission to take action steps in valuing your past, present, and future self.

NOTICE TO CLIENTS AND PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS:

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.  If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, please see the Estimate provided to you, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
